November 18, 2017 - Top 5 Finish With FASTRAK Series at Screven
Wrapping up the FASTRAK Racing Series season, Cla Knight headed to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Friday night for the two-day Georgia State Outlaw Championships. November 11, 2017 - Knight Attends National 100 at EAMS
Cla Knight traveled to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday night for the 43rd annual National 100. Drawing 39 Crate Late Models for the unsanctioned event, Knight logged the 12th fastest time in his qualifying group transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the show, Cla posted a 3rd place finish earning him the 21st-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Improving seven spots in the 50-lap affair, Cla Knight registered a 14th place outing.

October 28, 2017 - Cla Knight Bags Top 10 Finish in World Short Track Championship
Friday night brought Cla Knight to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) kicking off the OneDirt World Short Track Championship. With 66 Crate Late Models on hand for the two-day event, Knight improved two spots in his heat race recording a 4th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $4,000-to-win main event, Knight captured a consolation victory positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Cla Knight advanced through the field 12 spots in the 30-lap affair to place 8th.

On Sunday night Knight stopped at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) for the 2nd annual Craig Reece Memorial. Following the 23rd fastest time in a field of 35 cars, Cla recorded a 7th place finish in his heat race earning him the 21st-starting position for the feature. Gaining four spots, Cla Knight logged a 17th place outing.

October 14, 2017 - Knight Follows NeSmith Series to Talladega for NASCAR Weekend
On Friday night Cla Knight returned with the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) for the two-day NASCAR Weekend. Laying down the fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Knight earned the 2nd-starting position for the opening night feature. With $2,000 on the line, Cla slipped back to a 10th place finish in the 40-lap affair.

Returning on Saturday night for the $3,000 top prize, Cla fell one spot short of locking his spot into the finale with the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group. Going on to place 3rd in his 15-lap consolation event, Knight earned the 13th-starting position for the A-Main. October 7, 2017 - Runner-up Finish With NeSmith Series at Oglethorpe Speedway Park
Saturday found Cla Knight in action at Oglethorpe Speedway Park (Pooler, Georgia) for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series doubleheader. With 30 Crate Late Models on hand for the Showdown in Savannah, Cla secured his spot into the $2,000-to-win opener with the 3rd fastest time in his qualifying group. Running into trouble early, Knight was an early retiree from the 30-lap affair on the second lap.

Later Saturday evening, Knight posted the fastest time overall in qualifying positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win finale. Holding his spot for all 40-laps, Cla Knight notched a runner-up finish behind Mark Whitener with Travis Pennington, Kerry Gibbons, and Shane Rimer rounding out the Top 5.

September 23, 2017 - Top 10 Finish in Alabama State Championship at EAMS
Cla Knight made the trek to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Friday evening for the 45th annual Alabama State Championship. Drawing a stout field of 47 Crate Late Models for the unsanctioned weekend, Knight secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night with the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group. Rolling off 7th, Cla fell three spots in the 50-lap affair registering a 10th place finish.

September 16, 2017 - Knight Attends FASTRAK World Championship at VMS
On Friday night Cla Knight traveled to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned weekend. With 37 cars on hand for the World Challenge, Knight timed in fourth fastest in his qualifying group before registering a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Returning on Saturday night to a stout field of 71 Crate Late Models, Knight recorded a 6th place finish in his heat race giving him one final shot at the $20,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 2 into the World Championship A-Main, Knight fell short with a 5th place finish.

September 4, 2017 - Pair of Top 10 Finishes Over Labor Day Weekend
After losing Saturday’s East Coast Rumble opener at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) to Mother Nature, Cla Knight headed to Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, West Virginia) on Sunday for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned contest. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Knight secured his spot into A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting in 9th, Cla gained one spot in the 40-lapper to place 8th.

Monday brought 18 FASTRAK competitors to 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) for the final night of the East Coast Rumble. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $2,000-to-win feature via preliminary events, Cla held his spot for all 40-laps logging a 7th place finish.

August 12, 2017 - Knight Visits Princeton Speedway for UBB 29 Miners Memorial

August 5, 2017 - Pair of Top 10 Finishes With FASTRAK Series
Friday night found Cla Knight in action at 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned opener. Following the fastest time overall in a field of 23 cars, Knight landed a runner-up finish behind Jensen Ford in his heat race earning him the 5th-starting position for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Holding his spot for all 40-laps, Cla notched a 5th place finish behind Benji Hicks, Walker Arthur, Tyler Bare, and Jensen Ford.

The following night brought 27 FASTRAK Racing Series competitors to Princeton Speedway (Princeton, West Virginia) for the Little General Stores 40. After coming in third fastest in his qualifying group, Knight posted a 4th place finish in his heat race positioning him 12th on the starting grid for the feature. July 29, 2017 - Top 10 Finish at Wythe Raceway
Competing in the second round of the FASTRAK Racing Series Triple Crown, Cla Knight headed to Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Virginia) on Saturday night for the $3,000 top prize. With 18 cars on hand, Knight slipped back to the eighth fastest time in his quailing group positioning him 11th on the starting grid for the feature. Moving up one spot in the 50-lap affair, Cla registered a 10th place outing.

July 22, 2017 - Cla Knight Captures First FASTRAK Victory at Screven
On Friday night Cla Knight made the trip to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) preparing for the annual Rebel Yell on Saturday evening. Earning the 6th-starting position for the feature via preliminary events, Knight moved up two spots in the 20-lapper to place 4th behind Travis Pennington, Ben Faircloth, and Shane Riner with Joshua Bishop coming in 5th.

Returning on Saturday for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned event, Knight timed in second fastest overall before charging to a heat race win. Rolling off 3rd for the feature, Cla paced his way through the field in the opening 30 circuits. Taking over the lead on lap 31, Cla Knight built a comfortable lead in the remaining laps to pick up his second win of the season over Matthew Nance, Jordy Nipper, David Smith, and Joshua Bishop. Knight pocketed a $2,000 payday for his 40-lap feature win.

July 3, 2017 - Knight Follows FASTRAK Series Over Fourth of July Weekend
After Mother Nature ruined his initial plans, Cla Knight invaded Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Georgia) on Saturday night for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned event. Timing in fourth fastest in a field of 16 cars, Knight earned the 4th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into a podium spot, Cla passed two cars to place 2nd behind Frankie Beard with Sylvan Schuette, Adam Smith, and Dylan Lewis rounding out the Top 5 finishers.  

On Monday night Knight followed the FASTRAK Series to Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) for the Charlie Mize Memorial. Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Cla scored a runner-up finish behind Matthew Nance in his heat locking him into the 5th-starting spot for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Running into mechanical issues near the halfway point of the 40-lapper, Knight was an early retiree on lap 22 while being credited with an 18th place outing.

June 24, 2017 - Runner-up Finish in Crate Late Model Special at Modoc
Behind the wheel of the Augusta Aquatics #42 Crate Late Model, Cla Knight visited Modoc Raceway (Modoc, South Carolina) on Sunday night for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Battling with Ahnna Parkhurst for the top spot in the feature, Knight made a late-race charge in the closing laps but came up short when the checkered flag flew, trailing Parkhurst across the finish line with Matt Henderson, Josh Bishop, and Cole Godowns rounding out the Top 5 finishers.

June 17, 2017 - Cla Knight Bags First Win of the Season at Lavonia Speedway
Cla Knight opened his two-night stint in the state of Georgia on Friday by traveling to Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) for the regular night of racing. After timing in fastest overall in hot-laps, Knight posted quick time in qualifying locking him into the pole position for the feature. Jumping out to the lead on the drop of the green flag, Cla never let go of the top spot capturing his first win of the season over Andrew Cole, Frankie Beard, Joshua Bishop, and Russell Fleeman.

The following night brought Cla to Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Georgia) for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned program. Laying down the fastest time again in qualifying, Knight went on to place 2nd in his heat behind David Smith earning him the 3rd-starting position for the feature. With $2,000 on the line, Cla Knight moved up one spot in the 40-lapper registering a runner-up finish behind Jenson Ford with David Smith, Matthew Nance, and Benji Hicks completing the Top 5 finishers.

June 3, 2017 - Knight Follows FASTRAK Series to Virginia Motor Speedway
Powering the E-Z-GO Golf Carts #42 Crate Late Model, Cla Knight headed to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) on Saturday night for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned USA 100. In a field of 23 Crate Late Models, Knight timed in fourth fastest in his group before registering a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Starting in 9th for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Cla slipped back to a 16th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

May 26, 2017 - Cla Knight Begins FASTRAK Triple Crown at 311 Motor Speedway
On Friday Cla Knight kicked off the Memorial Day Weekend at 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) for the opening night of the FASTRAK Racing Series Triple Crown Championship. With 25 cars registered in for the Bill Hicks Sr. Memorial, Knight timed in fourth fastest in his group before registering a 4th place finish in his heat race. Starting in 12th for the $3,000-to-win feature, Cla Knight jumped up three positions in the 40-lapper recording a 9th place finish.

Mother Nature eventually rolled in later in the weekend and cancelling both of the FASTRAK Racing Series remaining Triple Crown events at Princeton Motor Speedway (Princeton, West Virginia) on Saturday and Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, West Virginia) on Sunday.

May 6, 2017 - Knight Grabs a Pair of Top 5 Finishes at Swainsboro and Toccoa
Cla Knight traveled to Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) on Friday night competing in a field of 21 Zaxby’s Crate Late Models. Bringing home a Top 5 finish in the A-Main, Knight landed a 4th place spot behind Dillon Brown, John Henderson, and Chelsey Dixon with Jimmy Sharpe Jr. coming in 5th.

Returning to Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Georgia) on Saturday night, Cla Knight was one of 20 cars signed in for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned event. Registering the 6th fastest time in qualifying, Knight earned the 6th-starting spot for the $2,000-To-Win feature. Working his way into a podium position, Cla Knight jumped up to a 2nd place finish behind Benji Hicks with Colby Cannon, Kenny Collins, and Forest Trent completing the Top 5 finishers.

March 25, 2017 - Cla Knight Lands 2nd Place Finish at Toccoa Raceway
Behind the wheel of the E-Z-GO Golf Carts #42 Crate Late Model, Cla Knight invaded Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Georgia) on Saturday evening for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned contest. Laying down the third fastest time in a field of 14 cars for qualifying, Knight earned the 3rd-starting position for the feature. After challenging for the lead several times throughout the A-Main, Knight ultimately settled with a 2nd place spot behind Adam Smith when the checkered flag flew. Frankie Beard, Danny Sanders, and Daniel Wilson rounded out the Top 5.

March 18, 2017 - Top 5 Finish for Cla Knight in Modoc 100 at Modoc Raceway
North Augusta, South Carolina's Cla Knight powered his Augusta Aquatics #42 Longhorn Crate Late Model to a Top-5 finish in Saturday night’s $5,000-to-win Modoc 100.

“We had a really good car from the time we unloaded,” said Knight. “In fact, I think we had an even better car than we showed in the feature, but passing was kind of difficult. Even at that, with the struggles we’ve had early in the year, I’m definitely pleased with our performance. We’ll head onto Cherokee and try to get our first win of the season."

With 33 entries on hand for the 9th annual Modoc 100, Cla qualified fourth fastest overall in time trials to lock into the 6th-starting spot for the 50 lap finale. He jumped to the 5th position on the opening circuit. From that point the bottom groove would be dominant, and Knight rode in line to a 5th-place finish.

Cla Knight returned to action on Friday evening at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) for the unsanctioned Bama Bash. With 26 Crate Late Models signed in for the two-day event, Knight followed up the fourth fastest qualifying time in his group with a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Forrest Trent. Rolling off 7th for the $4,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Cla dropped back to a 24th place finish in the caution-plagued 40-lap affair.

February 18, 2017 - Bad Luck for Knight in Winter Freeze VII at Screven
Piloting the Maxima Racing Oils #42 Crate Late Model, Cla Knight visited Screven Motor Speedway (Slyvania, Georgia) on Friday evening for the two-day Winter Freeze VII. Drawing 24 Crate Late Models, Knight earned the 16th-starting position for the opening night $1,500-to-win A-Main via qualifying. After breaking into the Top 10 and looking to post a Top 5 finish, Cla was turned around by another competitor sending him to the tail. Trying work his way back through the field in the final laps, Knight logged a 21st place outing.

Returning on Saturday for a chance at the $2,500 payday, Knight rolled off 14th for the main event. After working his way through the field, Cla was clipped from behind sending him sideways. Coming from the back of the pack after the caution, Cla Knight rallied back to a 23rd place finish

February 4, 2017 - Knight Lands Runner-up Finish in Round 2 of Winter Nationals at East Bay
On Thursday Cla Knight made the trek to East Bay Raceway (Gibsonton, Florida) for the opening night of the 41st annual Winternationals. With 37 Crate Late Models signed in for the unsanctioned weekend, Knight qualified 4th fastest in his group before registering a 3rd-place finish in his heat race to lock him into the A-Main. With $2,000 on the line, Knight posted a 15th place finish in the 25-lapper.

Returning on Friday to a field of 38 Crate Late Models, Cla started the night off by posting the fastest time overall in qualifying putting him on the pole of his heat. Cruising to a heat race win, Knight locked himself into the Top 6 where he would find himself drawing for his starting spot for the feature. Receiving the 5th-starting position for the $2,500-to-win A-Main, Knight positioned himself throughout the race to be in contention for the top prize in the late stages of the main event. Looking to pass the race-leader on the last-lap, Cla Knight came up short at the line posting an impressive runner-up finish behind Phillip Cobb with Max Blair, Doug Horton, and Mike Pegher Jr. rounding out the Top 5. January 18, 2017 - The Knights of the Championship Table to Feast at Fastrak Banquet
CARNESVILLE, GA – The Knights of the Championship Table at the Annual Fastrak Awards Banquet will be a busy group this Saturday night at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, TN.  Cla Knight of North Augusta, GA will be busy making trips to the podium to collect checks, trophies and awards to take back to his family and crew after winning three different Fastrak titles in 2016.

Behind the wheel of the Augusta Aquatics #42 Super Late Model, Cla Knight traveled to Oglethorpe Speedway Park (Savannah, Georgia) on Friday night for the two-day Showdown in Savannah. In a field of 29 Crate Late Models, Knight earned the pole position for his heat race following qualifying. Dropping two positions, Knight secured his spot into the 75-lap A-Main on Saturday evening with a 3rd place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Cla Knight improved one spot registering a 9th place finish.

November 26, 2016 - Knight Attends Cochran Motor Speedway After Friday Night at Swainsboro
Running in the Thanksgiving Weekend special, Cla Knight made the trip to Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) on Friday for the two-day Turkey 100. Drawing a stacked field of 45 Crate Late Models for the $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, Knight ran in solid in hot-laps but failed to make the correct adjustments prior to qualifying putting him in the bottom-half of the field. Slated to start deep in his consolation event for another shot at the feature, Cla Knight decided to pack up early on Friday night.

Making a last minute decision on Saturday, Knight headed to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the final night of the Southern Thunder Late Model Series sanctioned Gobbler 100. Timing in 13th fastest in a field of 19 Crate Late Models, Cla rolled off 13th for the $10,000-to-win feature. After advancing through the field early in the main event, Knight was taken out by another competitor bringing his night to an early end.

North Augusta, South Carolina's Cla Knight is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia and has launched a brand-new website at www.ClaKnight.com.

The 21-year old has been racing for nine years and despite his young age he's already enjoyed considerable success in racing. A three-year Go-Kart career spurred several wins and titles. He's claimed 89 wins during his racing career, and in 2016 alone he has scored five triumphs.

On Sunday Knight made history by becoming the first driver to win the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Southeast National Championship and the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Mid-Ohio Valley Championship in the same season. Cla reached this goal by finishing in the runner-up spot on Sunday in the weather-delayed Georgia State Championship Race at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia).

“We’ll take second, as I could have tried to make something happen at the end of the race, but I had to look at the big picture,” Knight said.  “We’ll take this championship back to North Augusta with us and put it on the mantel next to the Fastrak MOV Championship Trophy.  I’m proud to have become the first driver in Fastrak history to win two championships in the same year.  Just to win one title with the competition in this series is pretty tough, let alone two!”
