November 26, 2016 - Knight Attends Cochran Motor Speedway After Friday Night at Swainsboro
Running in the Thanksgiving Weekend special, Cla Knight made the trip to Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) on Friday for the two-day Turkey 100. Drawing a stacked field of 45 Crate Late Models for the $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, Knight ran in solid in hot-laps but failed to make the correct adjustments prior to qualifying putting him in the bottom-half of the field. Slated to start deep in his consolation event for another shot at the feature, Cla Knight decided to pack up early on Friday night.

Making a last minute decision on Saturday, Knight headed to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the final night of the Southern Thunder Late Model Series sanctioned Gobbler 100. Timing in 13th fastest in a field of 19 Crate Late Models, Cla rolled off 13th for the $10,000-to-win feature. After advancing through the field early in the main event, Knight was taken out by another competitor bringing his night to an early end.

November 20, 2016 - Cla Knight Launches New Website
North Augusta, South Carolina's Cla Knight is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia and has launched a brand-new website at www.ClaKnight.com.

The 21-year old has been racing for nine years and despite his young age he's already enjoyed considerable success in racing. A three-year Go-Kart career spurred several wins and titles. Since 2011 his focus has been on the Crate Late Model division in his Augusta Aquatics #42 Longhorn entry. (Christopher Brown photo)

He's claimed 89 wins during his racing career, and in 2016 alone he has scored five triumphs.

On Sunday Knight made history by becoming the first driver to win the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Southeast National Championship and the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Mid-Ohio Valley Championship in the same season. Cla reached this goal by finishing in the runner-up spot on Sunday in the weather-delayed Georgia State Championship Race at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia).

“We’ll take second, as I could have tried to make something happen at the end of the race, but I had to look at the big picture,” Knight said.  “We’ll take this championship back to North Augusta with us and put it on the mantel next to the Fastrak MOV Championship Trophy.  I’m proud to have become the first driver in Fastrak history to win two championships in the same year.  Just to win one title with the competition in this series is pretty tough, let alone two!”
