Cla Knight bags Top-10 finish in Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee

Cla Knight was one of 18 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series entries on hand at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.) on Saturday afternoon for the Palmetto State 50. Coming in fifth in his heat race, Cla secured his spot into the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Knight was an early retiree from the 50-lap affair on lap 29.

On Sunday, Knight followed the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the event co-sanctioned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series. In a field of 28 cars, Cla came in second fastest overall in time trials before placing second in his heat behind Jonathan Davenport. Starting the $10,000-to-win Blue-Gray 100 in fifth, Knight faded five spots in the 100-lapper to register a 10th place finish. (Steve Moore photo)
