Pair of 12th place finishes at Lancaster and Cherokee
Friday night found Cla Knight in action at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) debuting in a brand new No. 42 throwback wrap in honor of his father. Drawing 27 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for the Charlie Size Memorial, Knight edged his way into the opening night feature with a seventh place finish in his heat. On Saturday afternoon at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.), Cla came in 14th fastest overall in qualifying before placing fifth in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Knight improved two spots to record a 12th place outing.
For the third round of his tripleheader weekend, Knight headed to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Hall of Fame 50. After timing in 17th fastest overall in qualifying, Cla gained five spots in the 50-lap feature to come home 12th.
