Knight battles with Lucas Oil foes at Dixie and Rome

Cla Knight made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the Dixie Shootout. In a field of 39 cars, Cla fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth-place finish. Scoring a third-place finish in his B-Main, Knight locked into the 22nd-starting position for the opening night feature. For the Rome Showdown on Sunday at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.), Knight clocked in fourth fastest overall before placing third in his heat. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in seventh, Cla salvaged a 17th-place outing after getting in a tangle with another competitor on lap 34.
