Cla Knight
10th place finish in King of Commonwealth at VMS; tied for second in Ultimate point standings
Friday night found Cla Knight in action at Natural Bridge Speedway (Natural Bridge, Va.) to kick off the Ultimate Southeast Series doubleheader weekend with the Road to Jamaica. Earning the fifth-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Knight held his spot for the entire distance of the 40-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Brandon Overton, Ross Bailes, Trever Feathers, and Zack Mitchell to the checkers.
On Saturday evening at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.) for the King of the Commonwealth, Cla laid down the fourth fastest time in his group before grabbing the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. With $20,000 on the line in the feature, Knight improved five spots in the 60-lapper to finish 10th.
Cla is currently tied for second in the latest Ultimate Southeast Series point standings.
